Answers to the questions we hear most often.
How do I book?
Online, on our website: choose the activity, the date and the time, then pay. For a group of 16 or more or a party, see our packages.
How many players per room?
From 2 to 8, depending on the scenario. Some are designed for 4 players or more: they are harder with fewer, and the booking then asks for that minimum. If fewer of you come on the day, the group pays at least that minimum, less the participations paid online; those not used are given back to you as a gift certificate. A larger group splits into several rooms.
What is the minimum age?
10 is recommended. Players under 14 play with an adult in the room. Children under 6 are not admitted.
Are the scenarios in English and French?
Yes, all of them are bilingual. One group can mix English and French speakers.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Online: credit card or gift certificate. On site: cash, debit, credit or gift certificate.
How do I use a gift certificate?
At the online checkout, enter the certificate's code: its balance comes off your order. You can combine several. It also pays the balance on site.
Can I pay only part online?
Yes. You can pay part of the participations online (at least 2); everyone pays the rest on arrival. Cancellation 48 hours or more before: full refund; non-refundable after that.
Do you have a discount for an additional activity?
Yes: 25% off each additional activity (escape room, axe throwing, virtual reality) booked within 24 hours, applied at checkout.
Do you have a student rate?
Yes, Student Thursdays: $30 taxes included on presentation of your valid student card. Book by phone, at 819-205-2400.
What about a large group?
From 16 to 30 people, the escape room group package: 20% off, a deposit online and the balance on site.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Every participant signs the waiver online before their visit; it is valid for 12 months. A parent or guardian signs for anyone under 18. The confirmation email has a link to share with your group.
When should I arrive?
15 minutes before your booking time. A group that arrives late may lose playing time.
Where do I park?
Parking is free on site, at 45 rue de Villebois.
Can I use my phone in the room?
You can keep it on you, but photos and videos are not allowed.
How do I cancel or change my booking?
Email us at info@maitredujeu.ca or call 819-205-2400 with your name, the date and the time. 48 hours or more before: full refund; less than 48 hours before: non-refundable. Packages have their own terms, shown on their page and in our policies.
